Alison is an experienced mathematics educator with a passion for teaching inner-city children. In addition to teaching mathematics to middle and high school students for 13 years, Alison has taught mathematics on the collegiate level at five universities and has served as a mathematics department chair and curriculum director for five years.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science in mathematics from Southern Illinois University. Alison is the co-author of four books and was recently named the 2013 Missouri Charter School Teacher of the Year by the Missouri Charter Public School Association.
Alison has been married for 27 years and is the proud mother of three college students.
