Lawrence Tint Trustee
Lawrence Tint joined the KSTF Board of Trustees in June 2008. He is a Senior Managing Director of Cantor Fitzgerald LLP, President of Cantor Comparative Advantage, a Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary involved in the development of new stock trading technologies, and Chairman of Quantal International, a Berkeley, California-based provider of leading risk analysis tools and investment management products.
Previously, Mr. Tint was Vice Chairman, U.S. CEO and member of the Management Committee of Barclays Global Investors (BGI), an investment management company. Before joining BGI, Mr. Tint served as President of Sharpe-Tint, Inc., an investment management and consulting company specializing in asset allocation for large institutional investors that Mr. Tint formed with the Nobel Prize-winning economist William F. Sharpe. Mr. Tint’s previous experience includes management positions at Trust Company of the West, Wilshire Associates, Wells Fargo Investment Advisors and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Tint holds a BA in economics from Haverford College and an MBA in finance and operations research from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tint was a member of the Haverford College Board of Managers and chaired the Haverford College Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Drucker School of the Claremont Graduate University.
