CONTACT ZORA >>
Zora Wolfe brings global perspective on education to KSTF and the Teaching Fellowship Program. Her career has included teaching kindergarten at an American school in Taiwan, where she created a science-based curriculum for teaching English to young non-native speakers, as well as teaching high school math and science in New York City.

Zora was among the founding staff of a charter school in Denver, Colorado, where she taught biology, chemistry and algebra.  She served as the school’s curriculum director, which allowed her to develop curriculum, mentor and evaluate beginning teachers. She rose to the role of charter school principal, attaining a five-year re-charter through demonstrating positive student academic growth.  Since many of the students were first-generation high school graduates, she developed a senior seminar class to assist them in applying for and succeeding in college after graduation. Zora has also served as interim assistant principal at a middle school and a K-8 school.

Zora was born in Hong Kong and raised in upstate New York. She earned a BS in psychobiology from Binghamton University and an MA from Columbia University, Teachers College, in secondary science education. As her interest in school leadership grew, Zora completed her administrative licensure at the University of Denver with an internship at a large public high school. She has been a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE).
