Kimberly Masloski joined KSTF from Steubenville, Ohio bringing 20 years of physical science classroom experience, having taught high school Chemistry I, Chemistry II, A.P. Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Science courses. During her teaching, she was active in the school community, volunteering to advise students in extra-curricular clubs and serving on curriculum and accreditation committees.

Kim is currently working on her EdD in Science Education at the University of Pittsburgh, where she has completed her coursework and served as an instructor in methodology courses for their Masters of Arts in Teaching program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Muskingum College in 1992 and upon graduation taught at Bethel Park High School and Keystone Oaks High School in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2000, Kim received her Master’s degree in Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, OH, where she later moved to and taught at Steubenville High School.

A strong believer in learning as a life-long process, Kim has continually sought opportunities for professional development to create an ever-evolving classroom of opportunity for her students. She is anxious to join the fellows as they begin their own evolution process of becoming a teacher.

Kim has lived in Ohio for 12 years, with her husband Mark, who is also an educator of students with special needs. They have 3 daughters, Emiley, Hannah, and Briana.
