Lawrence Tint joined the KSTF Board of Trustees in June 2008. He is a Senior Managing Director of Cantor Fitzgerald LLP, President of Cantor Comparative Advantage, a Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary involved in the development of new stock trading technologies, and Chairman of Quantal International, a Berkeley, California-based provider of leading risk analysis tools and investment management products.
Previously, Mr. Tint was Vice Chairman, U.S. C.E.O. and a member of the Management Committee of Barclays Global Investors (BGI), an investment management company. Before joining BGI, Mr. Tint served as President of Sharpe-Tint, Inc., an investment management and consulting company specializing in asset allocation for large institutional investors that Mr. Tint formed with the Nobel Prize-winning economist William F. Sharpe. Mr. Tint’s previous experience includes management positions at Trust Company of the West, Wilshire Associates, Wells Fargo Investment Advisors and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Tint holds a BA in economics from Haverford College, and an MBA in finance and operations research from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Tint is a member of the Haverford College Board of Managers and chairs the Haverford College Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Drucker School of the Claremont Graduate University. |
